Underground Power & Electrical
406 Underground has bored for one of Montana's largest utilities. In the words of a NorthWestern Energy contact: “my primary boring company when directional boring is required.”
Power / Electrical Underground from 406 Underground
We install underground power conduit and cable by directional boring, trenching and plowing — utility distribution, secondary services, street lighting and private electrical runs.
Hydro-excavated holes for power poles, light standards and traffic signals round out the work.
What we do
- Primary and secondary distribution conduit
- Direct bury of power cable conduits
- Service lines to homes, shops and wells
- Street light and traffic signal conduit
- Power pole and light standard holes
- Bores under roads and driveways
How it works
Locate
Every crossing is located and potholed.
Bore or trench
Conduit is installed to the utility's depth and spec.
Pull
Cable is pulled or the conduit is left ready for the utility.
Restore
Surfaces are restored.
Why it pays
- Utility-grade boring experience
- Accurate bores and clean job sites
- Proactive about locating crossings
“The crews not only provide accurate bores, but also take responsibility for their actions and clean up after themselves without being asked when leaving a jobsite. Four O Six is also proactive in locating utility crossings… Montana owned and operated, this company has a family touch to it and it shows in their desire to do a good job at a minimal cost.”
— Rob Hanson, PE, Contractor for NorthWestern EnergyQuestions
Can you run power to a well or shop?
Yes. One Google reviewer had new wires bored under the road from the well to the house: “quickly, professionally drilled horizontally under the road.”
