HDD & directional drilling consulting in Saudi Arabia & NEOM

HDD and directional drilling consulting for utility and fibre work in Saudi Arabia, including the giant planned developments in the northwest such as NEOM and The Line — on your job site or remote by phone and video.

Directional drilling consulting in Saudi Arabia & NEOM

Saudi Arabia is building at a scale few places match. Giant planned developments like NEOM and The Line, new cities and districts, and the power, water and fibre networks behind them all mean long utility corridors and a lot of crossings.

A team of consultants can help with bore planning, production and risk on bids, and troubleshooting by video. Consults are in English. We'll come to your site or work it remotely, alongside the local engineer and contractor of record.

What we can help with

The same consulting we offer everywhere, with the local conditions in mind:

Ground conditions

  • Desert sand. Loose sand and gravel plains that won't hold a hole without the right fluid.
  • Mountains and hard rock. The northwest runs from the Red Sea coast into rugged mountains, so hard-rock bores and steep entry and exit sites are part of the picture.
  • Wadis. Dry riverbeds with loose gravel and boulders that can flood after rain — crossings are planned around both.
  • High heat. Summer heat affects fluid mixing, equipment and crew hours; summer midday outdoor-work restrictions shape the schedule.

General conditions only. Every site is different — send what you know about yours.

Permits & approvals

Approvals come through the relevant ministries, municipalities, utility companies and the development authority for each project, often with several sign-offs per crossing. Those stay with the owner and contractor; we help plan the bore to their requirements.

Typical crossings

  • Long new utility corridors
  • Highway and road crossings
  • Wadis and drainage channels
  • Coastal and marine-edge crossings
  • Hard-rock sections in mountain terrain

Time zones & remote consults

Saudi Arabia is on Arabia Standard Time, 9 hours ahead of Helena in summer and 10 in winter. Early-morning calls here reach your afternoon, and photos and video can be reviewed overnight. Video from the rig, the pit or the returns works well for troubleshooting; plans, profiles and bid documents can be reviewed between calls, with written recommendations after each session.

On your job site

We're glad to travel. A consultant can come to your site for planning, troubleshooting or training, working alongside the local engineer and contractor of record — scope and travel costs agreed up front. Consulting is field-experience based and doesn't replace a licensed engineer's stamped design.

Questions

Can you consult on a NEOM or The Line package?

Yes. Consulting is available for work there — on your site or remote by phone and video, alongside your engineer and contractor of record. Travel costs are agreed up front.

Can you help with hard-rock and long bores?

Yes. Rock tooling, fluid, rig sizing, production and the risk on a long crossing are core to bore planning. Send the profile and ground data.

Have a bore, a bid or a problem job?

Call Beau, or send the details. Consulting works remote worldwide.
